Markus Solibieda has over 28 years of professional expertise across several investment entities. Before joining Dussur, Markus was the Managing Director of BASF Venture Capital GmbH, since 2016, an international leading chemical company.
He was also a Partner at Mandarin Capital Partners and Head of the company’s Frankfurt office. Previously, he co-founded Baigo Capital, a European growth capital fund focused on the healthcare industry.
Markus received his MBA from the European Business School following studies in Frankfurt (Germany), Dijon (France) and Phoenix (USA). He started his career with Deutsche Bank and Advent International in Frankfurt and London.
Eng. Abdullatif Alsowidan is the Chief of Strategy & Governance at Dussur, where he oversees corporate strategy and governance to ensure they are effectively aligned with Dussur’s mandate and objectives.
He is responsible for Strategy, Corporate Legal, Mergers and Acquisitions, Joint Venture Affairs, Risk and Compliance as well as Corporate Communication and Branding.
Eng. Alsowidan plays a key role in managing Dussur's strategy, business plans, and governance frameworks to drive organizational success. Additionally, he oversees efforts to ensure compliance, mitigate risks, manage mergers and acquisitions effectively, and enhance the company’s brand presence and stakeholder engagement.
Eng. Alsowidan is an accomplished professional with over fourteen years of experience in various fields, including business analysis and planning, strategy development and implementation, management consulting, investments, performance and project management.
Before assuming his present position, he served as Head of Corporate strategy and Performance and before joining Dussur, Mr. Alsowidan served as Assistant Vice President at the Public Investment Fund in 2020 and was a Business Development Consultant at Elm Company in 2019. Mr. Alsowidan holds a Master’s degree in Construction Management from the University of Birmingham, UK, and has completed the Executive Program for Middle Managers at Stanford University.
Mesfer AlSubaie is the Head of Shared Services at Dussur, he is strategizing and leading the company’s Human Capital, Information Technology, Procurement, Business Service and Government Affairs departments.
Mr. AlSubaie is an accomplished leader as he brings to Dussur over 15 years of experience in transforming and institutionalizing shared business services. Building and executing functional and organizational strategies that helped to turnaround businesses into institutionalized developed organizations. Prior to assuming his role in Dussur, Mr. AlSubaie was Group Executive Director of Shared Services in one of the Investment Groups, and he was Managing Partner for a Holding Company, in addition to diverse experience in financial services, real estate, F&B, international retail and manufacturing sectors.
Mr. AlSubaie holds MBA in International Business from Clayton State University, USA, and Certificate in Management from London Business School, UK.
Omar Alqarawi is the Head of Finance at Dussur, leading the Project Finance & Treasury, and Finance & Accounting Departments. With over 10 years of progressive leadership experience in finance and accounting, he is highly skilled in strategic financial planning, team leadership, and financial analysis.
Before joining Dussur in 2021, Mr. Alqarawi served for over 7 years at SABIC, where he gained extensive experience in treasury, financial reporting, cost control, and managing complex financial operations for strategic corporations. His rich experience and knowledge have allowed him to excel in his current role as Head of Finance, following his service as Finance & Accounting Director at Dussur .
In addition to his role at Dussur, Mr. Omar serves on the Audit, Risk, and Compliance Committee in four joint ventures, applying his expertise in financial governance and compliance in alignment with Saudi Arabian regulations and Companies Law.
Mr. Alqarawi holds a Bachelor’s degree in Corporate Finance from Portland State University, USA, a Certificate in Leadership Management from the International Institute for Management Development (IMD), and certifications from the GCC Board Directors Institute (BDI).
